The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), an Institute of National Importance under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate II in the Bio Medical Technology Wing, located at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Eligibility & Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Master's degree (M.Sc) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.
• GATE qualified or UGC-CSIR NET qualified (JRF/LS).
• Minimum 2 years of research and development experience in academic or industrial Science & Technology institutions.

Note: This is an ST backlog position. Only candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category are eligible to apply.

Salary & Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 42,000/- plus 20% House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per ANRF/SCTIMST norms. The total monthly compensation will be approximately Rs. 50,400/-.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for this position is 50 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) as per Government of India / DST / ANRF norms.

Project Details

The position is under a research project titled "Prototype Development of Double-Barrel PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Isolation Device", funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). The project duration extends up to 9th June 2029. The selected candidate will be involved in the design, development, and testing of biomedical devices at the Bio Medical Technology Wing of SCTIMST.

Selection Process

• Screening: Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria and qualifications.
