- No prior apprenticeship/employment bar beyond the five-year SAMEER service rule for Project Engineer/Associate posts.

SAMEER Kolkata Recruitment 2026 – Advt 11/2026
Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER), an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, invites online applications for 34 contract positions at its Kolkata Centre under the "Mission Mausam" microwave radiometer project.
The appointments are purely contractual and project-specific, for a period of two years or the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. They do not confer any right to regularisation, absorption or continuation of service.

Important Dates

Eligibility
- Indian citizens only. Age is reckoned as on the closing date of the advertisement.
- Upper age limit: 28 years (Project Engineer), 25 years (Project Scientific Assistant A, Project Technical Assistant A, Project Executive Assistant A) and 30 years (Project Executive).
- Age relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 years, persons with benchmark disabilities 10 years (plus additional 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC), ex-servicemen length of service plus 3 years, as per Government of India orders.
- Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in the prescribed qualifying degree/diploma/ITI, unless otherwise specified.
- Candidates who have already served with any SAMEER Centre as Research Scientist, Project Engineer or Project Associate for five years or more are not eligible for Project Engineer/Associate posts.
Selection Procedure
- Project Engineer: written test, online interview and in-person interview.
- Project Executive: online interview and in-person interview.
- Project Scientific Assistant: written test and in-person interview and/or skill test.
- Project Technical Assistant and Project Executive Assistant: written test and in-person interview and/or skill test.
- Written test and interview qualifying marks are 50% and above, unless otherwise specified. Final selection is based on in-person interview and/or skill test-interaction marks.
