Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites applications from eligible government officers for engagement as Deputy Director on deputation in Pay Level 11. A total of 11 posts are advertised. The deputation period is two years, extendable by up to one year subject to requirement and availability of vacancies. Posting will be on an all-India basis at SAI centres.

Eligibility

• Officers working under the Central Government, State Government or Union Territory administrations, including attached or subordinate offices.
• Holding an analogous post as Deputy Director in Level 11 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; OR at least five years of regular service in Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500).
• Maximum age 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
• The post is on deputation for two years, further extendable up to one year.
• The officer will work as a Section Head, assist the Divisional Head, supervise assigned divisions/centres and ensure implementation of SAI schemes and Government guidelines.
• Posting is transferable on an all-India basis.

Post-wise Qualification

• Deputy Director: Analogous post in Level 11 or five years of regular service in Level 10; officers of Central/State Government/UT administrations.

Age Limit

Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Selection Process

Eligible applications received through proper channel will be considered by the Selection Committee. Selection will be made on the basis of merit, service record and interview. Only shortlisted officers are likely to be called for interview.

2. Submit the application in duplicate through proper channel/cadre controlling authority, or send an advance copy.
3. Attach attested copies of APARs/Confidential Reports for the last five years, vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, minor penalty certificate for the last five years and cadre clearance certificate.
4. Send the complete application to the Director (Human Resources Division-II), Room No. 211, Sports Authority of India, Head Office, Gate No. 10 (East Gate), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110003.
5. Applications must reach by 20 November 2026, 5:00 PM. The advance copy does not substitute the application received through proper channel.
