Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar invites applications for the engagement of two (02) Senior Research Fellows (SRF) under the time-bound project “National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)”, vide Advt. No. 06/RPCAU/Temp./2026 dated 16.10.2026. The positions are purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project. Selection will be made through a walk-in interview on 31.10.2026 (Saturday) at 09:00 AM at the Directorate of Extension Education, RPCAU, Pusa.

Essential Qualification

• M.Sc. in any discipline of Agricultural Science (viz. Agricultural Extension / Economics / Statistics / Soil Science / Agronomy / Breeding / Entomology / Pathology / Horticulture) with a 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree;
• OR candidates having a post-graduate degree in Basic Science with a 3 years Bachelor’s degree and a 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience.

Experience and Desirable Skills

• Experience in field surveys, conducting trials/demonstrations, data collection, conducting training, developing technical literature, data analysis and report writing.
• Proficiency in computer applications and data management will be preferred.

How to Attend the Walk-in Interview

1. Download and fill the application form in the prescribed proforma attached with the advertisement.
2. Bring a printout of the duly filled application form along with original and self-attested copies of all necessary documents relating to date of birth, educational qualifications and experience certificates.
3. Carry two recent passport-size photographs (not older than six months from the date of advertisement) and your signature.
4. Bring five copies of an updated, duly signed short CV (not more than two pages).
5. Clearly mention the post/position name (Post Code-1 or Post Code-2) on the application form; otherwise the candidature will not be considered.
6. Report at the venue before 08:30 AM on 31.10.2026. No separate call letter will be issued and the list of shortlisted candidates will be released on the day of the walk-in interview.
7. Candidates already employed elsewhere must produce a No Objection Certificate from their employer.

Terms and Conditions

• The positions are purely temporary and contractual and are co-terminus with the respective project; engagement confers no claim or right to regular engagement in the University.
• The University reserves the right to decide the criteria of eligibility, increase or decrease the number of positions, alter any condition or not to fill any post without assigning reasons.
• No TA/DA will be paid to attend the walk-in interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim regular appointment or absorption in the University.
• The University may conduct a qualifying/written test to shortlist candidates.
• Shortlisting will be on the basis of academic qualifications, experience, publications and achievements/awards submitted with the application.
• Incomplete and unsigned applications will be rejected.
• If the interview cannot be conducted as scheduled, candidates may have to stay for the next day without any TA/DA claim.
• Qualifications, eligibility conditions, age and documents will be determined as on the closing date.
• Any dispute will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the Patna High Court only.
