Eligibility
- Research Assistant: Graduate in Science/Social Science/Social Work with three years of work experience from a recognised Institute; OR Master in Social Science/relevant subjects from a recognised University. Desirable: Exposure in field-based surveys among vulnerable population and/or HIV/AIDS; fluency in regional language; good communication & English language skill.
- Laboratory Technician: 12th Passed in Science Subject and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology; OR one year DMLT. Desirable: One year experience in laboratory work.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 60 years for both posts.

RIMS Imphal Research Assistant & Laboratory Technician Recruitment 2026 – NACO IBBS Project (Tripura)
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal invites applications from intending eligible candidates from the State of Tripura for appointment to the following posts, on contractual basis, for the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) Project for “Integrated Biological and Behavioral Surveillance (IBBS) for High Risk Groups and Clients of Female Sex Workers (Round 1 Year-3)” to be implemented in the State of Tripura.

Research Assistant – Essential Qualification
- Graduate in Science/Social Science/Social Work with three years of work experience from a recognised Institute; OR

Important Instructions
- The engagement is strictly co-terminus with the project for the period mentioned against the post, or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
- The appointee shall have no right to claim regular appointment on the basis of his/her engagement/extension of engagement in RIMS, Imphal.
- The engagement shall be made on finalization of the contract agreement after recommendation by the Selection Committee.
- The interview/personal interaction will be conducted on virtual mode.
- The list of shortlisted eligible candidates as well as the date, venue and time for their interview will be notified on the Institute’s website.
