Selection Process & Exam Details
There is no written examination for Act Apprentice selection. Candidates are selected purely on merit, based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (10th) and the ITI trade examination in the relevant trade. Document Verification (DV) was conducted during 09.07.2026 to 23.07.2026 (WRS Raipur candidates were scheduled for 23.07.2026) vide DV call letter / list dated 19.06.2026 published on the official SECR website for DRM Office Raipur & WRS Raipur. No admit card is issued for this selection; selected candidates were required to carry the DV e-call letter and requisite documents to the document verification venue, after which the Provisional Selection List was released on 15.09.2026.
Selection Details
South East Central Railway (SECR), Wagon Repair Shop (WRS), Raipur issued the Provisional Selection List for engagement of Act Apprentices for the year 2026-27 vide letter No. E/PB/R/RCT/Act Appr-01/2026-27/1621 dated 15.09.2026. A total of 281 posts were notified (Estt. No. E11152200001) under the notification dated 05.05.2026, and 241 candidates have been provisionally selected. Trades covered: Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Turner, Electrician, COPA and Stenographer (Hindi/English). Selected candidates must report for document verification and joining on 21.09.2026 (Fitter & COPA) or 22.09.2026 (Welder, Machinist, Turner, Electrician) between 10:00 to 17:00 hrs at the Office of the Chief Workshop Manager, Personnel Branch, Wagon Repair Shop, SECR, Raipur - 492008.
