Eligibility
- Postgraduate degree in the relevant Social Sciences/Humanities subject: History, Political Science or Economics.
- B.Ed. with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- NET, State Level Eligibility Test or Ph.D. in the concerned subject, as prescribed by the University Grants Commission.
- M.Ed., M.Ed. with specialisation and Ph.D. in Education are desirable.

Contract terms
- Purely contractual appointment; it may be terminated at any time without assigning a reason.
