RDSO invites applications from eligible serving railway employees for Sr. Section Engineer/Inspection/Mech (Ex-cadre & Tenure Based, Pay Level-7) – 17 posts (actual & anticipated), to be filled in the Inspection Units of RDSO at Lucknow, Kolkata, New Delhi etc. (RDSO letter No. Per./Inspection/Mech/Notification/17/2026 dated 25.09.2026, circulated through East Central Railway HQ).

Eligibility
- Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post, Pay Level-7) working in the concerned (Mech) department of a Zonal Railway/Production Unit; SSEs working in a Level higher than 7 may also apply
- Minimum 05 years of service experience as Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post, Level-7)
- No case under D&AR / SPE / Vigilance
- Total APAR grading of the last three years (2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25) not less than 11 marks; last year’s grading not less than ‘GOOD’
- Minimum 05 years’ residual service; Medical Category B-1
- Cooling-off period of three years between two RDSO tenures
Selection
Screening by a Screening Committee based on APAR of last 3 years (max 15 marks) and Educational/Professional Qualification (B.Tech/equivalent 5 marks; Diploma/B.Sc. 3 marks).
