Rajasthan Safai Karmachari Bharti 2026 – 24752 Contractual Safai Karmachari Posts

The Rajasthan Government – Department of Local Self Government (Swayatt Shasan Vibhag), Jaipur has published the recruitment notification (Advt No. 01/2026) for 24,752 Contractual Safai Karmachari (सफाई कर्मचारी) posts across 183 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Rajasthan. This is a purely contractual engagement under the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules, 2022 (as amended).

Selection Process

1. Lottery Process – Online software developed by Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan
2. Priority 1 – Candidates with 1 year experience in the same ULB where they apply
3. Priority 2 – If posts remain vacant, candidates with 1 year experience in other ULBs of the same district
4. Priority 3 – If posts still remain vacant, candidates with 1 year experience in any ULB of the state
5. Special Priority – Candidates with Hon'ble Rajasthan High Court directions for priority/regularization in previous Safai Karmachari recruitments

Important Rules

• Only ONE application per candidate – can apply to only ONE ULB out of 183 advertised ULBs. Applying to more than one ULB will result in cancellation of ALL applications.
• Scheduled Area posts: Only local residents of Scheduled Areas of Rajasthan can apply. Must mark Scheduled Area column in application.
• Reservation: SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS/Women (30% horizontal)/Ex-Servicemen (15% horizontal)/Outstanding Sportspersons (2% horizontal)/Divyangjan (4% horizontal) as per Rajasthan Government rules.
• Health & Character: Fitness certificate from CMHO/Medical Jurist required. Police verification will be conducted.
• Marriage registration mandatory for appointment.
• Disqualifications: More than one living spouse; accepted dowry; more than 2 children born on/after 01/06/2002 (with exceptions); convicted of immoral conduct; dismissed from government service.
• Fake experience certificate: Strict legal action against applicants, institutions, and issuers.
• Authority reserves right to increase, decrease, or cancel posts.

How to Apply

1. Visit department portal https://lsg.urban.rajasthan.gov.in/ or SSO portal https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/ and login
2. Select Recruitment Portal under Citizen Apps (G2C) and click Apply Now
3. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if not done – select category, disability status, home state, pay registration fee
4. Fill online application form carefully – OTR data (name, fathers name, DOB, gender, ID) cannot be modified
5. Capture live photo during application
6. Fill visible mark (drishya chinh) in the form
7. Submit and note Application ID – if no ID generated, application not submitted
8. Take printout of submitted form
9. Can also apply through e-Mitra Kiosks / Jan Suvidha Kendras
