RailTel Corporation of India Ltd Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Educational Qualification: Full-time Regular 4-Year B.E./B.Tech in Engineering/Technology OR Full-time Regular 3-Year Diploma in Engineering/Technology (AICTE-approved), with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / any combination where Electronics is a main branch (e.g., Electronics & Instrumentation). OR Passed Sections A & B of IE(I) / IETE Graduate Membership Examination in the relevant branch.
- Age Limit: 18–27 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Presidential/Governmental Directives) as on date of notification.
- No engineering graduate/diploma holder with one year or more of training/job/work experience after attaining the qualification is eligible.
- Candidates who have completed 3 years after their Graduation/Diploma will not be considered.
- Candidates who have already completed/terminated their apprenticeship or are pursuing apprenticeship elsewhere are NOT eligible.
- Qualifications obtained through distance learning / part-time mode are NOT eligible.

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd Selection Process 2026
- Online applications received through the NATS portal by the last date are considered.
- A merit list is prepared region/state/location-wise; preference given to Government Institution pass-outs.
- Shortlisting based on merit (minimum eligibility marks) and/or interview, as required.
- Candidates must be medically fit as per the Corporation's norms.
- No right to regular employment; apprenticeship does not create any liability on RCIL for providing a job.
