PSPCL JE Normalization Formula 2026
Base Shift Selection: The shift with the highest average raw score is used as the base for normalization. If that shift has fewer than 70% of the average attendance, the shift with the next-highest average is used instead. Normalized Score Formula: Xn = (S2/S1) × (X - Xav) + Yav, where: S2 = Standard Deviation of the base shift (highest average score) S1 = Standard Deviation of the candidate's shift X = Raw score of the candidate Xav = Average score of the candidate's shift Yav = Average score of the base shift Score Calculation Before Normalization: Candidate Score (H) = Total Correct Responses (D) - Negative Marks Allotted (G). Normalized Score (C) = (H/B) × 100, where B is the number of valid questions.
