Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) invites applications from eligible persons for engagement on contract / deputation basis against three posts – Staff Consultant (1), Director/Finance (1) and Registrar/Joint Director (Legal) (1). Vacancy Circular Recruitment Notice Reference No. 79/2026/10.

The post-wise qualification, qualifying service, nature of experience and emoluments are given in the position details table on this page. The Staff Consultant is engaged on a contract basis to assist the Commission in the performance and discharge of its functions, with emoluments of Rs.90,000. The posts of Director/Finance and Registrar/Joint Director (Legal) are to be filled on deputation or contract basis.

The eligibility criteria, pay, allowances and other terms and conditions of service for the Director/Finance and Registrar/Joint Director (Legal) posts are governed by the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Appointment & Service Conditions of Employees) Regulations, 2015, as amended from time to time, available on the Commission's website under the ‘Regulations’ tab. The Staff Consultant engagement is governed by the PSERC (Engagement of Consultants) Regulations, 2012 and as decided by the Commission from time to time.

Age and other conditions

• Age of the candidate should not be more than 62 years on the last date of receiving the application, for the post on contract.
• Selection will be made by the competent authority on the recommendation of the Screening-cum-Selection Committee of PSERC, keeping in view suitability for the post on the basis of qualifications, qualifying service and nature of experience.
• For candidates applying on deputation, the Parent Department will forward the applications of eligible and interested candidates after due verification, and whose services can be spared in the event of selection, along with bio-data, ACRs for the last five years and information regarding pending and decided vigilance and disciplinary cases. An advance copy in the prescribed proforma must also be sent by the candidate.
• Candidates applying on contract should submit the applications in the prescribed proforma, complete in all respects and supported by self-attested copies of all certificates relating to educational qualification, qualifying service and nature of experience.
• The term of appointment for these posts shall be as per the PSERC Regulations, 2015.

How to apply

Applications in the prescribed proforma given in the vacancy circular should reach the Secretary, Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission on or before 11.11.2026.

The proforma requires the name of the post applied for, name of the applicant, parentage, date of birth, present and permanent addresses with telephone numbers, e-mail ID, name of the office or department where presently employed, present post held, date of appointment to the present post, present grade pay and scale of pay or lumpsum amount, educational qualifications, and the nature of experience. Details of employment must be given in the prescribed table covering the name of the office/organisation, post held, nature of appointment (regular, ad-hoc, deputation, contract), from-to dates, scale of pay and basic pay with grade pay or lumpsum amount, and the nature of experience. A self-attested passport-size photograph must be pasted on the application.

No application fee is prescribed in the circular.
