Presidency University Kolkata Eligibility Criteria 2026
- M.Sc./M.S./B.S.-M.S. or equivalent in any branch of Biology
- Qualification in the National Eligibility Test at JRF/LS level, or Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), or an equivalent examination
- Desirable (not mandatory): hands-on experience in cell culture, mammalian cell transfection and transduction, transformation and cloning in bacteria, Western blotting, qPCR and immunoprecipitation
- Desirable: experience with bioinformatics tools and evidence of good oral and written communication skills in English

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible Indian citizens for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in an ANRF (previously DST-SERB), Government of India funded research project entitled "Deciphering PRC2 linked epigenetic vagaries in Oncohistones mediated T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia", under Principal Investigator Dr. Mayukh Biswas, Assistant Professor, Institute of Health Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata.
- Fellowship: ₹31,000 + ₹7,440 (24% HRA) = ₹38,440 per month, as per DST-SERB/ANRF norms
- Tenure: four months (non-renewable); duration of project is until February 2027
- Interview: Tuesday, 3 November 2026 at 11:00 AM, Tower 2, Institute of Health Sciences, Presidency University (2nd Campus), Plot No. DG/02/02, Premises No. 14-0358, Action Area-IID, New Town (near Biswa Bangla Convention Centre), Kolkata 700156 — in-person mode
