Pilot Officer (Contract) – Port Management Board, A&N Administration 2026

The Port Management Board (PMB), Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Sri Vijaya Puram intends to engage 01 (one) Pilot Officer on contract basis for a period of 02 (two) years on a consolidated salary of Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand only) per month. Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• (i) Should possess Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Master of Home Trade Ship granted by Government of India or equivalent; AND
• (ii) 05 years experience as Master of Home Trade Ship.
• Age Limit: Less than 55 years. Candidates above 55 years may also be considered subject to medical fitness and submission of valid medical fitness certificate.

2. Send the application addressed to The Chief Port Administrator, Port Management Board, A&N Administration, Port Blair – 744101, or via email at ad.pmb@and.nic.in on or before 20/09/2026 up to 5:00 PM.
3. Visit the office of the Assistant Director (Admn.) for document verification from 01/09/2026 onwards between 15:00 to 16:30 hrs on all working days (except Saturday & Sunday).

Terms & Conditions

• Working hours of the Pilot (on contract) will be as per Port operational requirements (day and night).
• They will be posted to any Ports of Andaman & Nicobar Islands as and when required.
• They will be entitled to 2½ days leave per month (not exceeding 24 days per year) to be availed before expiry of the contract.
• Medical facilities with Insurance will be provided.
• The contract can be terminated with three months notice or payment of three months emoluments by either side. Unsatisfactory discharge of duties will lead to forthwith termination without notice or compensation.
• Selected candidates shall have to submit police verification certificate and fitness certificate from the Govt. Medical concerned.
• The contract engagement shall not confer any right to claim permanent absorption/appointment in the Port service against any vacant post.
• No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the verification/test/interview.
