Department of Haematology, PGIMER, Chandigarh invites applications for Student Internship – 01 under the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) component of the ANRF/SERB-funded Core Research Grant project entitled “Universal testing of germline variants in cases of acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome and to study the role of somatic variants in their pathogenesis” (Project No. CRG/2022/003336), under Dr. Pulkit Rastogi, Associate Professor, Department of Haematology.

| Student Internship (SSR) | 01 | Postgraduate student (M.Sc./equivalent) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Human Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or allied biomedical sciences from a recognized University/Institute. | One month | Rs 5,000/- per month as per ANRF/SERB SSR norms |
Preference: Candidates with interest or prior exposure to molecular biology, cancer genetics, hematological malignancies, next-generation sequencing (NGS), bioinformatics, or genomic variant analysis will be preferred.
Nature of Training: Exposure to ongoing molecular hematology research, including AML/MDS, germline predisposition, molecular techniques, NGS workflows and genomic variant analysis/interpretation.
General: Internship is purely temporary under SSR component; Assistantship governed by ANRF/SERB and PGIMER rules; Selection based on academic background, relevant experience and interest; No separate interview letter; No TA/DA; Only Indian nationals.
