Selection Procedure & Examination 2026
Scheme: Online Computer Based Test (CBT) – English only, MCQs, 1 mark each, negative 0.25. Group A: 85 MCQs (85 min, 85 marks) + Interview 15 = 100 marks. Group B & C: 100 MCQs (100 min, 100 marks), no interview – merit in CBT only. Qualifying: 40% General/EWS, 35% SC/ST/OBC (PwBD as per category; reserved applying for UR needs 40%).
Shortlisting: CBT qualified category-wise for scrutiny: No skill test = 3× posts + ties (+ reserved above UR cut-off); With skill test = 5× posts + ties. Result possibly within 15 days of exam on www.pgimer.edu.in.
Scrutiny → Eligibility Notice → Document Verification (originals, printout of application, certificates) → Provisional selected/waitlisted (CBT merit for B/C, CBT+Interview for A) → Final selection on merit after document verification. Additional candidates may be called if vacancies not filled.
Examination Centres (13): Amritsar, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh/Mohali, Dehradun, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Shimla (allotted first-come-first-serve; PGIMER may re-allocate).
