The Power Foundation of India (PFI), an autonomous society under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has invited online applications for recruitment of young, talented and dynamic Graduate Engineers in Electrical Engineering for the post of Executive Trainee (Electrical) through GATE-2025. A total of 04 vacancies are advertised for the post of Executive Trainee (Electrical). Selection Procedure

The selection process shall comprise the following two stages:

Note: Candidates shall be shortlisted for the next stage on the basis of their GATE-2025 score. The qualifying/shortlisting criteria for each stage shall be decided by PFI.

Emoluments

The selected candidates shall be appointed as Executive Trainee (Electrical) on a regular/full-time basis. The proposed remuneration shall be tentatively Rs. 11 lakh per annum as per PFI policy, depending upon the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, competencies and overall suitability for the position. The selected candidate shall also be entitled to PF, gratuity, medical/insurance coverage and other applicable benefits in accordance with the rules, policies and terms and conditions of PFI.

Training and Probation

The selected candidates shall undergo a structured one-year training programme covering power sector policy and regulatory matters, power generation/transmission/distribution, renewable energy and energy transition, power sector data analysis and research, electricity markets and sector reforms, preparation of reports/studies/presentations, stakeholder consultations and industry interactions, and other activities assigned by PFI. On successful completion of training, the trainees may be placed/continued in suitable functions of PFI, subject to satisfactory performance. The selected candidates shall be on probation for a period of one year from the date of appointment; confirmation in service shall be subject to satisfactory performance, conduct and fulfilment of all applicable requirements. The selected candidate will be required to execute a service bond of Rs. 2,00,000/- to serve PFI for at least 3 years after successful completion of one-year training.

3. Upload the required documents: recent photograph, signature, GATE-2025 scorecard with correct registration number, Matriculation/10th certificate as proof of date of birth, degree/provisional degree certificate, marksheets of all semesters/years, and other documents as specified in the detailed instructions.

5. Submit the online application before the last date 03.11.2026.

Note: Only candidates who appeared in GATE-2025 – Electrical Engineering (EE) shall be eligible. GATE scores of any year other than GATE-2025 shall not be considered. PFI reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies or not to fill any/all vacancies without assigning any reason. Any amendment/corrigendum shall be published on the PFI website only.
