PAU Ludhiana Junior Lab/Field Helper Recruitment 2026

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, invites applications for filling up one (01) post of Junior Lab/Field Helper on contractual basis at a fixed salary of Rs. 10,737/- per month, under the scheme "New insight in understanding genomic footprints of nutrient uptake under direct-seeded rice cultivation system" (CSS-08, PC-6413), in the School of Agricultural Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Middle (8th standard) with Punjabi.
• Age Limit: 18 to 63 years as on the last date of receipt of application (13.08.2026). The applicant should not have exceeded 63 years on the last date.
• Desirable: Experience of working in rice and handling different operations of sowing, harvesting & crossing, and handling & maintaining germplasm of rice and its crossing. Preference to candidates already assisting in field experiments or laboratory sample handling.

Reservation

• 25% reserved for Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates.
• 12% reserved for Backward Classes belonging to Punjab state.
• 13% reserved for Ex-servicemen.
• 3% reserved for Physically Handicapped persons.

Terms & Conditions

• The appointment is initially for six months and may be terminated at any time without notice.
• If the incumbent opts to quit, he/she must either deposit one month's salary or serve one month's notice (or salary in lieu thereof for any shortfall).
• The services are liable to be terminated at any time without any notice.
