PAU Ludhiana Junior Lab/Field Helper Recruitment 2026 – School of Agricultural Biotechnology
Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana invites applications for the post of Junior Lab/Field Helper (1 post) on contractual basis in the scheme "Genome-wide introgression of tetraploid non-progenitor Aegilops peregrina (UUSS) in hexaploid wheat background and mapping of multiple disease resistance" CSS-05 (PC-6387) at the School of Agricultural Biotechnology.

Educational Qualifications
Qualification: Middle pass (8th) with Punjabi.
Age: 18 years to 63 years (as on the last date of receipt of applications).
Desirable: Experience of working in wheat and handling different operations of sowing, harvesting and crossing; handling and maintaining wild germplasm of wheat and its crossing. Preference to candidates already assisting in conduct of field experiments or handling samples for laboratory analysis.
Reservation
- 25% posts reserved for SC, 12% for backward classes belonging to Punjab state
- 13% posts reserved for Ex-servicemen, 3% for physically handicapped persons

Rs. 50/- bank draft drawn in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana. Application form available on the PAU website.

Interview Details
Interview will be held in the office of the undersigned (Director, School of Agricultural Biotechnology, PAU, Ludhiana). No separate letter for interview will be issued. Original copies of testimonials should be brought at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
Terms and Conditions
- The appointment will be for a period of six months in the first instance.
- Applicant should not have exceeded the age of 63 years on the last date of receipt of applications.
- The person appointed will have to deposit one month salary or submit one month notice if opting to quit university service.
- Services are liable to be terminated at any time without notice.
