- Persons having adequate experience in public utility services, namely transport for carriage of passengers or goods by air, road or water; postal, telegraph or telephone service; supply of power, light or water to the public; system of public conservancy or sanitation; service in a hospital or dispensary; insurance service; banking service; education or educational institutions; or housing and real estate service.
- The applicant must be a person of good standing and fit to be appointed as a Member of the Permanent Lok Adalat.
- Term of office is five years or until attaining the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
