- Domicile or qualifying institution in the eligible districts of the chosen work centre

ONGC invites online applications for engagement of 3,047 apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 at its work centres across 24 locations in six sectors
- Sector-wise vacancies: Northern 191, Mumbai 482, Western 1,166, Eastern 674, Southern 269 and Central 267
- Note: the sector subtotals printed in the advertisement add up to 3,049 while its grand total is stated as 3,047; trade and sector-wise vacancies are tentative and may change as per ONGC's requirement
- Trades include Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Lab Chemist/Analyst - Petroleum Products, Secretarial Office Assistant - Oil & Gas, Fire Safety Technician, Electrical Executive, Executive HR and similar trades under NAPS and NATS
- Age 18 to 24 years as on 29.11.2026 - date of birth between 29.11.2002 and 29.11.2008; upper age relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL) and up to 10 years for PwBD
- Stipend: Graduate Apprentice Rs.12,300, Diploma Apprentice Rs.10,900, Trade Apprentice with 10th/12th Rs.8,200, ITI one-year trade Rs.9,600 and ITI two-year trade Rs.10,560 per month
