OIL Consultant (Fishing) Contract Engagement 2026 – 1 Post

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, invites applications for engagement of 01 (one) Consultant (Fishing) on contract basis for Field Headquarters (FHQ), OIL, Duliajan on consolidated honorarium, under Advt. No. HRAQ/CONT-EX-B/26-299 dated 29.07.2026.

Job Description

• Carrying out fishing jobs like retrieval of stuck packers, retrieval of bridge plugs, recovery of stuck packer with tubing string, casing repair, milling operations, recovery of wireline tools, wash over jobs, etc. in cased hole sections/liners of sizes 4-1/2" to 9-5/8" using workover rigs of 550-1000 HP capacity.
• Experience in providing technical specifications of suitable fishing tools for procurement.
• Experience of designing/fabricating fishing tools for unconventional fishing jobs will be preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Graduate/Diploma holder (any discipline) as full-time regular course from AICTE/UGC recognised Institutes/Colleges/Universities.
• Minimum 25 years of working experience in the upstream oil & gas sector (permanent basis), out of which minimum 10 years in Well Services/Workover rigs including minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in Cased Hole/Well Services Fishing.
• Must have retired at least from the post of Deputy General Manager (Grade F) or equivalent from OIL or any other Govt./PSU/Private sector.
• Age: not more than 63 years as on the last date of receipt of application.

Honorarium & Facilities

• Monthly Honorarium: Rs.1,50,000/- (lump-sum, inclusive of local conveyance, telephone, internet expenses etc.).
• DA of Rs.1,800/- per day during domestic official tours; 10 days paid leave per 6 months (non-cumulative, non-encashable).

Contract Period

06 (six) months, extendable by 03 tenures of 06 months each up to a maximum of 02 years, depending on Company requirement and individual performance.
