Selection test
The test will be held at the Reserve Police Ground, Koraput on 28-10-2026 at 6:30 AM.
Common eligibility
- Permanent resident of Odisha.
- Not more than 65 years old on the advertisement publication date.
- Able to speak, read and write Odia.
- Retired from Odisha Police as Assistant Sub-Inspector, Sub-Inspector or Inspector.
- Unblemished service record and no conviction, major departmental punishment or pending criminal case.
- Not more than one living spouse.
- Very good/good CCR/PAR continuously for 60 months before superannuation.
- Vacated any allotted government quarter.
- Execute a re-employment agreement for a maximum of one year.
Common selection process
- Verification of original documents.
- Medical examination by a Medical Board; its decision is final. Persons with physical deformities are ineligible.
- Physical capability test: walk 5 km on foot within one hour; candidates must be capable of at least eight hours of field duty by day or night.
- Interview by the Selection Board.
- Appointees wear the uniform and badge prescribed by the D.G. & I.G. of Police, Odisha.
