ICAR-National Research Centre for Grapes (NRCG), Pune invites applications for one post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a purely contractual basis under the NASF project at ICAR-NRC for Grapes, Pune.

Post Details

Project: "Developing genomic selection strategy for accelerating breeding program in perennial fruit crops (grape, guava and mango)" (NASF project).

Project Duration: Till 28th February 2027 (co-terminus with the project).

Essential Qualifications

• MSc in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology with four years Bachelor’s degree.
• Candidate having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD date 13th July 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30 January 2019.
• NET examinations include: CSIR-CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test, MHRD-Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE), DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test, DAE-JEST & JGEEBILS/NBHM, ICMR-JRF Entrance Examination, ICAR Test for Ph.D. admission, DoP-GPAT.

Desirable: Working knowledge of R, Python and Linux.

Age Limit

Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years as on last date of submission of application with relaxation as per rules.
