- Trade Apprentice: ITI pass in the relevant trade (Electrician / Fitter / Electronics Mechanic) from a recognised institute
- Diploma Apprentice: three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Civil Engineering from a recognised institute
- Graduate Apprentice: Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or in Human Resource, Finance & Accounts, Contract & Material Management
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship or have more than one year work experience are not eligible under the Apprentices Act
- Age 18-24 (Trade), 18-25 (Diploma) and 18-26 (Graduate) as on 18.11.2026 with Government of India relaxations
