National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack – a premier Law University in India, established under the Odisha Act IV of 2008 and accredited by NAAC – invites applications in the prescribed format for the post of Section Officer on contract basis (Advt. No. NLUO/NTR-03/27.09.2026).

Who Can Apply (Important)
This post will be filled only from retired employees (not exceeding 65 years of age) of the Government of Odisha / Government of India / Reputed Autonomous Institutions, who have held a post in Pay Level 7, 8, 9 or 10 of Government of Odisha at the time of retirement. Serving employees and fresh graduates are not eligible for this post.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree from a recognised University/Institution with minimum 55% marks.
- Experience in drafting, noting and correspondence.
- Basic working knowledge of computers.
Key Responsibilities
- Section office work – files, records, receipts and disposal.
- Preparation of notes, drafts and official correspondence.
- Coordination of administrative work and compliance of timelines.
- Support to statutory authorities of the University and handling of public queries.
- Any other duty assigned by the University from time to time.
Selection Procedure
- Skill test followed by Interview.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Interview.
- No TA/DA will be given for attending the Interview.
