Applications are invited for the temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the ISRO-RESPOND sponsored project Residual stress measurement and mitigation in high thickness AA2219 alloy friction stir welds for next generation launch vehicles at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Warangal. Essential Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Production/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering with first class; AND
- ME/MTech in Manufacturing/Computer Integrated/Materials science/Production/CAD CAM/Design with first class.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior knowledge in working with welding, aluminium alloys metallurgy and residual stress measurement.
Job Nature
Microstructural and mechanical property characterization, residual stress measurement and its mitigation; execute the objectives of the research project.
