Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for one (01) post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project titled “ASIC Implementation, Chip Fabrication, and Testing of an Indigenous RISC-V Based Lightweight Edge AI Processor for IoT-Enabled Healthcare Application”, funded by the Centre for System On-Chip (SoC) Design and Fabrication.

Essential qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with First Class from a recognized University / Institute, and M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. in VLSI Design / Embedded Systems / Microprocessors or any other ECE specialization related to VLSI.
Required skill sets
- Strong Verilog / SystemVerilog RTL coding, digital VLSI design and ASIC flow (synthesis, STA, physical design, RTL-to-GDSII).
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; RISC-V architecture, processor programming, hardware/software co-design.
- AI/ML algorithms, lightweight neural networks, quantization and edge-AI accelerator implementation.
- FPGA prototyping, ASIC verification, DFT, chip testing and semiconductor fabrication; DSP, biomedical signal processing, IoT healthcare systems and sensor interfacing; EDA tools and hardware debugging.
- ASIC design / chip-fabrication-flow / VLSI-tools experience is an added advantage.
