National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra invites applications from eligible candidates for 01 post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project "SAKSHAM - Scientific Advancements in Knowledge for Sustainability, Healthcare, and Materials", sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the ANRF PAIR programme. NIT Kurukshetra is the Spoke institution and IIT Indore is the Hub institution.
The project has three themes: Theme 1 - Advanced Materials; Theme 2 - Environmental Sustainability and Energy Technology; and Theme 3 - Health and Medical Technologies. The current vacancy is in Theme 1 (Advanced Materials), at NIT Kurukshetra, in collaboration with IIT Indore, Khandwa Road, Simrol, Indore (M.P.). The workplace may vary from time to time as per project requirements (Spoke and Hub institutions).

Eligibility
Post-graduation in Basic Sciences/Engineering with 60% aggregate marks or average CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale. For SC/ST/PwD candidates the marks requirement is relaxed by 5% or by a CGPA of 0.5 on a 10-point scale. The degree must be from a UGC-recognised University/Institute/Autonomous body.
Candidates in the final year of their Master's programme who have submitted their dissertation/thesis but do not have their final-semester results by the application deadline may apply. They must submit the results by 31 December 2026, failing which any JRF offer made to them will be cancelled.
Desirable qualification: CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE/GPAT.
Selection Process
- The selection process consists of a written test and an interview in physical mode at NIT Kurukshetra.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the written examination and interview schedule by email.
- The syllabus for the written examination in the discipline is as per the GATE/NET curriculum.
- Candidates who have qualified GATE/NET or any other national level examination are exempted from the written examination.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview/written test.
