Overview
NIT Rourkela (SRICCE) invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ISRO-funded CHHAAYANKAN project on AI-based geospatial analytics for tea plantation monitoring (Advt. 26CS050, 09-Oct-2026). Temporary/contractual, co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility (Essential)
- M.Tech/M.E./M.Tech(R)/M.S.(R) (after B.Tech/B.E.) in CSE/IT/equivalent with 60% or 6.5 CGPA at both B.Tech and M.Tech levels; OR
- B.Tech/B.E. CSE/IT with GATE (CS/IT/AI&DS) and CGPA >7.0 or marks >65%; OR
- M.Sc (with GATE/NET) or MCA (with GATE/NET) in CS/IT/equivalent with 6.5 CGPA / 60%.
Desirable: GATE; AI/ML + Python; Mathematics; Remote Sensing & GIS. Place of work includes RRSC-East, ISRO Kolkata. JRF may be eligible for Ph.D. enrolment per institute rules. Responsibilities: satellite/UAV/field data collection, geospatial AI/ML analytics, coding, software development & documentation.
