Pay Scale

Pay Level: Level 14 under the Seventh Central Pay Commission

Basic Pay: INR 1,44,200–INR 2,18,200

The initial pay may be fixed at INR 1,44,200 plus applicable allowances, as per institute rules.

Age Limit

Applicants should not be more than 56 years of age.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, from a recognised university or institute.

Experience Requirements

Applicants should fulfil one of the following:

• Hold an analogous administrative post under the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory, recognised research institution, institute of national importance, government laboratory, or public-sector undertaking

OR

• Have at least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Pay Level 11 or above, including at least eight years in Academic Pay Level 12 or above, with experience in educational administration

OR

• Possess comparable experience in a research establishment or institution of higher education

OR

• Have at least 15 years of administrative experience, including eight years as Deputy Registrar or in an equivalent position at Academic Pay Level 12 or above

Desirable Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Qualification in Management, Engineering, or Law

• Experience in handling computerised administration

• Knowledge of legal, financial, establishment, and institutional matters
