Departments: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Mechanical (MCE), Civil (CVE), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) - English.

Important Dates

Eligibility (as per NIT Statute Schedule E)

All posts: PhD in relevant/equivalent discipline AND first class in the preceding degrees (Bachelor onwards). Direct PhD after BE/BTech is also eligible with first-class Bachelor degree (undertaking required).

Professor (Level-14A, Entry ₹159100/-): PhD + 10 years after PhD or 13 years total working experience, of which 07 years after PhD, with 03 years as Associate Professor in Level-13A2 or 04 years in Level-13A1 or combination thereof, in an Institute of repute / R&D lab / relevant industry. Minimum 80 credit points.

Associate Professor (Level-13A2): 06 years after PhD, of which at least 03 years as Assistant Professor Grade-I (Level-12) or equivalent, in an Institute of repute.

Assistant Professor Grade-II (Level-10) / Grade-I (Level-12): As per Schedule E of NIT Statutes (Gazette of India dated 24/07/2017) with credit point requirements.

Pay

Pay Band & Academic Grade Pay as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix: Professor Level-14A (Entry ₹159100/-); Associate Professor Level-13A2; Assistant Professor Grade-I Level-12; Assistant Professor Grade-II Level-10.

Selection Process

Scrutiny of applications and shortlisting based on credit point score, experience and research/academic performance, followed by a lecture on a core UG subject using black/white board, a presentation on past research and future plans, and personal interview. Video-conferencing allowed for candidates residing abroad at their own risk.

• After online submission, print the application, attach the annexures and self-attested enclosures, and send the hard copy by Speed/Registered Post to The Registrar, NIT-GOA Campus, Kottamoll Plateau, Cuncolim Municipal Area, Salcete Taluka, South Goa District, Pin - 403703, superscribed with "Application for <Post> in the Department of <Department> vide Advt. No. NITGOA/RECT/2026/OW/14".
• Hard copy must reach by 07/10/2026 (5:00 PM). Only applicants residing abroad may additionally email scanned copies to recruitment@nitgoa.ac.in.
• Serving Government/PSU/University employees must route applications through proper channel and furnish NOC and vigilance clearance at interview.
