NIPGR Research Associate-I Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Microbiology or related field, or M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with 3 years research experience, as per DST-OM dated 26.06.2023
- Research publications in SCI journals (at least one first-author or two co-author papers, IF above 3) preferred
- Experience in molecular biology, genome editing, transgenic plants, plant-pathogen handling, formulations or protein biochemistry desirable
- Purely temporary post, co-terminus with the project; one month notice on either side; no claim to any regular post at BRIC-NIPGR

NIPGR Research Associate-I Job Details & Overview
Applications are invited for two purely temporary Research Associate-I posts, one each in the DBT project “Antifungal peptide-based formulations for management of sheath blight disease in rice” and the DBT project “Imparting sheath blight disease tolerance in rice through genome editing of susceptibility factor” under Dr. Gopaljee Jha, Scientist
- Emoluments Rs.58,000 per month plus 27% HRA as sanctioned in the project; initial appointment for one year or till the tenability of the project, whichever is earlier
- Essential: Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Microbiology or a related field as per DST-OM DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26.06.2023; M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with three years research experience and relevant publications can also apply
- Desirable: experience in molecular biology, genome editing, handling transgenic plants and plant pathogens, formulations and protein biochemistry, supported by at least one first-author or two co-author SCI papers
