National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), a Government of India Undertaking (India's oldest General Insurance Company), invites applications for the post of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on a contractual basis in the cadre of Deputy General Manager.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 01-07-2026)

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India

Age Limit: Minimum 45 years; Maximum 55 years

Educational Qualification (Essential):

• Engineering Graduate / Post-Graduate Engineer OR MCA
• Plus at least ONE of the following certifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Desirable Qualifications:

• Cloud Security Certified Professional (CCSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Experience in financial services/insurance sector in India
• Familiarity with IRDAI Cyber Security Guidelines, CERT-IN Guidelines, IT Act 2000, DPDP Act 2023, ISO 27001:2022
• Proven leadership capabilities in Information Security at senior management level

Experience (Essential):

• 15 years in Technology functions
• At least 10 years in network and cybersecurity domains
• Mandatory minimum 10 years in Leadership Roles encompassing:
  • SOC transformation
  • Enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy execution
  • BFSI/public sector digital security transformation
• Must include: Security Solution Architecture, Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance Management, and Security Operations at Senior Management level

Job Profile

• Cybersecurity Vision, Plan, and Architecture for Core Insurance and secure upgrades
• Studying threat environment, ensuring secure innovation, rolling out new secure products/initiatives
• Managing secure development of applications for IT operations and business requirements
• Ensuring secure integration of internal/external applications with Core Insurance, compliant with DPDP
• Maintaining secure IT environment per ISMS Policies, IRDAI, DPDP, and CERT-In guidelines
• Advising Corporate Management and Board on cybersecurity risk analysis
• Designing training programs and coordinating cybersecurity awareness training
