Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable database schemas for transactional and analytical applications
- Create collections, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, triggers and functions
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain MongoDB, MariaDB and cloud-based database environments
- Analyse slow queries, design indexing strategies and optimize execution plans
- Integrate databases with APIs and enterprise applications
- Support data warehousing and analytics initiatives using Amazon Athena
- Implement database security controls, encryption and DPDP Act compliance
- Develop optimized datasets for dashboards and reporting; write complex SQL and aggregation pipelines
- Prepare database architecture documents, dictionaries and backup/restore SOPs
