- A person of ability, integrity and standing with expertise and experience of not less than 20 years in accountancy, auditing, finance or law
- Must submit a declaration confirming no conflict of interest or lack of independence
- Shall not be associated with any audit firm or related consultancy during appointment and for two years after ceasing to hold office
- Applications in the prescribed form (Annexure-I) with self-attested copies of qualifications, experience and date of birth proof
