North Eastern Institute of Medical and Research Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong invites applications from eligible candidates for 5 contractual positions under the CCRAS-funded project on Ayurveda regimen as adjunct to anti-tuberculosis treatment.

Project Title

"Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of Ayurveda regimen as an adjunct to anti-tuberculosis treatment (ATT) and macronutrient supplementation on body weight, nutritional outcomes, and quality of life in adults with newly diagnosed drug-sensitive NAAT-positive Pulmonary Tuberculosis: An open-label randomized controlled parallel-arm clinical study"

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria by Post

1. Project Research Fellow (MBBS)

• Essential: MBBS degree from a recognized university with evidence of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Desirable: Experience in TB research; Knowledge of regulatory aspects of clinical research; Experience in biorepository management; Expertise in flow cytometry, QPCR, ELISA, LCMS/GCMS, Cell culture.

2. Project Research Fellow (Ayurveda)

• Essential: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from a recognized university/institute.
• Desirable: M.D./M.S. (Ayurveda); Previous research experience in projects funded by Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, CSIR, DST or equivalent organization.

3. Project Technical Support-II (Lab Technician)

• Essential: DMLT/MLT from a recognized institution with two years experience in sample collection, processing, storage, and laboratory documentation; Experience in handling clinical specimens and laboratory testing for TB.

4. Project Nurse-III

• Essential: B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university with three years work experience; Registered with State Nursing Council.
• Desirable: MSc. Nursing; Expertise in working with NTEP (National TB Elimination Programme); Experience in sample collection and clinical exudates.

5. Project Technical Support-III (MSW)

• Essential: Three-year Graduate degree in Social Work or Sociology from a recognized university with three years work experience in relevant field.
• Desirable: Postgraduate degree in Social Work or Sociology; Experience in field work and recruitment of participants; Computer knowledge.
