NDMA Internship Scheme 2026 - 10 Interns
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) invites applications for its Internship Scheme, under which at least 10 interns are engaged each year. The internship is for six to eight weeks (not exceeding two months) and carries a remuneration of Rs. 12,000 per month. Interns assist NDMA divisions with research, SOPs, guidance notes, project assignments, training, documentation and day-to-day disaster-management work. Applications are accepted through NDMA Jobs on a rolling basis.

Eligibility
- Indian national enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme in Disaster Management or an equivalent postgraduate programme such as Development Studies, Economics, Humanities, Sciences, Management, Engineering or Health Studies.
- Recent graduates with a university degree in a concerned subject may also apply if there is a clear linkage with disaster management.
- Desirable: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills and flexibility in a multicultural environment.
- The applicant must indicate the area of interest in the Statement of Purpose.
- A candidate can apply for the internship only once during a financial year.
- Applicants must have their own laptop; remote/work-from-home internships may be considered.
