National Book Trust, India (apex body in publication of books and book promotion, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) invites online applications for 17 Editorial Assistant posts purely on contract basis through a manpower agency, initially for three months (extendable as per Trust requirement).
- Total 17 posts — 01 post each in Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Gujarati, Malayalam, Bodo, Dogri, Kashmiri, Konkani, Manipuri, Maithali, Nepali, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Santhali, Punjabi and Hindi (language-wise break-up in the Position Details vacancy table); upper age limit 40 years; remuneration Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 55,000 per month
- Essential Qualification: Graduation; Desirable Qualification: Master's Degree in the specified language
- Minimum 1 year experience of working in a publishing house in the Editorial department — translation, copy editing, proof reading, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of computer applications i.e. Adobe PageMaker, InDesign, page designing, DTP composing and typesetting etc. in the concerned language
