The National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA), under MPEDA (Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India) has issued Notification No. YP/KA/01/2026-27 to hire 01 Young Professional-I on contractual basis for posting at Mangalore, Karnataka. Nature of Work
To organize small and marginal aquafarmers into functional clusters, and to promote, guide and assist these clusters in implementing sustainable and environment-friendly Better Management Practices (BMPs) and certification, so as to ensure the production of safe, traceable and high-quality seafood for export.
Educational Qualification
- Essential: B.Sc. Aquaculture / Fisheries (B.F.Sc.) or B.Sc. Biological Science with Zoology combination only.
- Other Mandatory: Proficiency (read, write, speak) in English; proficiency in the respective vernacular language; knowledge of MS Office applications (proof required).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in scientific shrimp farming / Aquaculture / Hatchery / Processing.
Emoluments (Fixed per month)
- Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 25,000/-
- Petrol allowance: Rs. 2.25 per km (based on submission of log books)
- Mobile with internet: Rs. 500 (based on bills/vouchers/payment receipts)
- Two-wheeler maintenance allowance: max. Rs. 12,000 per annum (subject to proof of payment)
Selection Procedure
- NaCSA will constitute a committee to scrutinize applications and shortlist candidates strictly on merit.
- Shortlisted candidates appear for a written test followed by interview (weightage: 80% written test, 20% interview).
- The decision of the Competent Authority shall be final.
