The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU), Vadodara invites candidates for Walk-in Interviews for the post of Temporary Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences for the Academic Year 2026-27 (Notification No. FFCSc./383, dated 07/09/2026, Dean Prof. Anjali Pahad).

Eligibility (UGC Regulations, 2018)
- Master degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned / relevant / allied subject from a recognized Indian University (5% relaxation for SC / ST / SEBC Non-creamy Layer / PwBD categories)
- Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET, OR Ph.D. awarded as per UGC (Minimum Standards) Regulations 2009/2016 (with conditions: regular mode, two external examiners, open viva, two research papers with at least one in a refereed journal, two conference presentations)
- Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 (QS / THE / ARWU) is also exempted from NET/SLET/SET
- NET/SLET/SET not required for Master programmes in disciplines where the test is not conducted
- Consistently good academic record required; degrees from recognized institutions (equivalence certificate from AIU for foreign degrees)
- Knowledge of Gujarati is desirable

Terms
- Posts are purely temporary for Academic Year 2026-27; no right to permanent status or regularization
- If Temporary Assistant Professor posts remain vacant, the University may appoint a Temporary Teaching Assistant on fixed consolidated salary
- Salary as per resolutions of the Executive Council, MSU Baroda
- No TA/DA or travel reimbursement for any stage
- Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification
- Disputes subject to Vadodara, Gujarat jurisdiction
