- Research Associate: postgraduate degree in a subject relevant to the project or any social science or allied discipline with at least 55% marks, with NET, M.Phil. or Ph.D., and two years of research experience.
- Field Investigator: graduate degree in any social science discipline with at least 55% marks. Preference to four-year graduation programme candidates; those with relevant postgraduate qualifications in social sciences and experience in field surveys, data collection, interviews and research documentation are encouraged.

Duration and pay
- Research Associate - Rs. 47,000 per month, for 16 months.
- Field Investigator - Rs. 20,000 per month, for 3 months, extendable by another 3 months based on performance.
