Project: "In-vitro regeneration studies and mass production of quality planting material of red banana (Musa acuminata)" approved under RGSTC Scheme (University level scheme) at Biotechnology Laboratory, Division of Agricultural Botany, College of Agriculture, Pune, MPKV, Rahuri.

Applications are invited for the following temporary post on contractual basis in the above RGSTC project.

Post: Skilled Helper - 01 (One) post
Remuneration: Rs. 10,000/- Consolidated per month
Age: 21 to 45 years
Duration: Initial 6 months on contract basis, extendable on six-monthly basis till termination of the project/scheme, subject to satisfactory progress/performance.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The value of remuneration for the Skilled Helper is Rs. 10,000/- Consolidated per month.
2. The minimum age will be 21 years and maximum age 45 years.
3. The placement of the Skilled Helper in the scheme/project will be made on contract basis initially for six months, which can be continued on six-monthly basis / till the date of termination of the project/scheme depending on the satisfactory progress/performance.
4. Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
5. Candidates called for interview for the position of Skilled Helper will not be entitled for TA/DA.
6. The position will be terminated on completion of the terms of the scheme/project, whichever is earlier. The University holds no responsibility for his/her regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post on termination of the project, as it is purely temporary, time-bound arrangement on co-terminus basis with the project.
7. The appointment of the Skilled Helper will be terminated at any time by issue of 24 hours' notice if the Skilled Helper is found to be negligent in his/her work or found guilty of gross negligence in his/her duties or of grave misconduct.
8. The Skilled Helper will be under the administrative control of the concerned Principal Investigator (PI).
9. Regular attendance may be ensured by the concerned PI by keeping the attendance register.
10. The Skilled Helper shall settle their claim within one year of leaving fellowship/scheme and no claim will be entertained after one year of leaving or termination of his/her service.
11. The research work done by the Skilled Helper will be the property of the University and the Skilled Helper will have no control or right on the same. The contribution in research work can accordingly be acknowledged/included in the research papers after prior permission from PI.
12. The Skilled Helper will devote their whole time to the assignment given to them and they will not be allowed to accept or hold another appointment, paid or otherwise, during that period.
13. The Skilled Helper engaged in the project/scheme, while applying for any position/post elsewhere, have to obtain NOC from his/her present PI.
14. While leaving the job, the Skilled Helper has to hand over the charge to his/her PI and obtain NOC from PI.
15. The candidate shall not leave the project during or in the middle of the tenure. If he/she intends to do so, he/she has to give one month notice in writing in advance or remit the amount of one month salary.
16. The candidate has to perform all duties and responsibilities assigned to him/her by the PI/Co-PI/Superior Authority as per the requirements of the project.
17. The candidate should apply on plain paper giving full details as per the enclosed proforma to "The Incharge, Biotechnology Laboratory, Division of Botany, College of Agriculture, Pune, Maharashtra" on or before 07/09/2026. The candidates already employed should apply through their employer. Applications received after the last date / postal delay will not be considered.
18. The eligible candidate will be interviewed by the Selection Committee.
19. The selected candidate will have to work at Biotechnology Laboratory, College of Agriculture, Pune - 411005 for the entire term as a full-time worker.
20. The notification does not mean that the post will necessarily be filled. Discretionary powers will rest with the Selection Committee constituted for the purpose. The appointment of the selected candidate shall be a tenure appointment and likely to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason, and the candidate shall not have any right of claiming permanency benefit of the said post or such posts by virtue of this appointment.
