NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for the posts of Assistant Professor for the below mentioned subjects at Dr. Annasaheb Shinde College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Rahuri, purely on a temporary and on contractual basis for day-to-day academic work of this College, on a fix pay of Rs. 45,000/- per month. The details of posts to be filled are as below:

Note: The notification table states the contract period as 11 months in the table; the terms section states 06 months. Candidates are advised to confirm the exact tenure with the issuing office.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
1. Ph.D. or Master's degree in the relevant field / subject along with NET prescribed by the UGC / ICAR will be preferred.
2. NET / SLET / SET shall also not be required for such Master's programme in disciplines for which NET / SLET / SET is not conducted.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:
1. Experience in research / teaching / extension education.
2. Evidence of published papers in recognized journals having ISSN Number.
3. Experience in MPKV, Rahuri is preferable.

NATURE OF WORK:
1. To conduct the theory and practical classes of concerned courses.
2. To carry out the academic programme as directed by the University.
3. To work as counsellor.
4. To work for examination / admission / cultural & sport cell.
5. To perform any other college duty directed by the Associate Dean of this College.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The appointment will be purely on a temporary basis for 06 / 11 months only (as per notification table) or till the post is filled on regular establishment, whichever is less.
2. The candidate shall have to execute an undertaking that he/she will not leave the assignment half way or without prior intimation to this office.
3. The appointment shall automatically terminate any time on the joining of the person on regular establishment.
4. Any type of indiscipline / act of misconduct will be viewed seriously and the assignment will be terminated without intimation.
5. The candidate should apply on plain paper giving full details as per enclosed proforma to "The Associate Dean, Dr. A.S. Government College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Rahuri, Dist. Ahmednagar, PIN - 413 722" on or before the last date, with all required documents and Demand Draft of processing fee.
6. Candidate should pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five hundred only) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn on a nationalized bank in favour of "Comptroller, MPKV, Rahuri", along with the prescribed application form.
7. The eligible candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee approved by the University. The candidate shall have to attend the interview on his/her own cost. The candidate should produce all original documents at the time of interview, failing which candidature will be rejected.
8. The selected candidate must work full time and full term. He/She will not be allowed to accept any other appointment during the contract period. He/She can only resign the post by giving one month prior notice or by making payment of one month fix pay.
9. This contract comes to an end functionally after completion of tenure period and if the candidate has not continued for next semester, he/she should complete his/her work on his/her own cost; no remuneration or pay will be paid.
10. The appointment of the selected candidate will be a tenure appointment and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason, and the candidate shall not have any right to claim permanency benefit in lieu of this contractual appointment.
