Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj – an Institute of national importance under the NIT Act, 2007, fully funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India – invites applications from suitable Indian nationals for engagement of Part Time General Duty Doctors in the Institute. Advertisement No. 09/2026 dated 12.10.2026.

12 posts are advertised across ten designations – Allopathic General Physician, Pediatrician, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Ophthalmologist, Neuropsychiatrist/Psychiatrist, ENT Specialist, Ayurvedic, Dentist (2 posts), Homeopathic and Physiotherapist (2 posts). The engagement is on a contract basis. The services of a contractual employee are liable to be terminated at any time by one month's written notice given either by the employee to the appointing authority or by the appointing authority to the employee, unless otherwise agreed. Contractual doctors shall also perform additional duties, assignments, health camps or medical examinations required by the Institute, and no special remuneration is payable for these unless specifically approved.

so as to reach by 02.11.2026 up to 5:30 PM, failing which the application will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

Self-attested copies of all credentials in proof of age, academic qualifications, category, experience, awards and honours must be enclosed, failing which no weightage will be given for the credentials claimed. Applications not in the prescribed proforma, incomplete in any respect, or not accompanied by the relevant certificates, documents, photographs and signature will be summarily rejected.

There is no application fee. Candidates should bring all documents in original for verification and two sets of copies for submission, along with two recent passport-size photographs, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the selection process. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the test or interview.

Selection process

• If the number of applications is large, the short-listing committee may restrict the number of candidates called for interview on the basis of higher educational qualifications or higher experience than the minimum prescribed, or by counting experience before or after acquisition of the essential qualification.
• All selections shall be made through the recommendations of the Selection Committee on the basis of performance in the interview, which is intended to test various aspects of personality quotient, domain knowledge and suitability for ready deployment with relevant experience.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview before the Selection Committee on a date and time conveyed through the notice boards or the Institute website. The Institute will not entertain any request for a change of date.
• The Selection Committee will draw a merit list from each category, and may also draw a waiting list with a sufficient number of eligible candidates from each category.

• Any corrigendum, change or update shall be made available only on the Institute website www.mnnit.ac.in; candidates are advised to keep visiting it.
• The Institute has the right not to fill the vacancy or vacancies, and reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without giving any reason. The number of vacancies may change, and any consequential vacancy arising up to the date of interview may also be filled during the interview.
• Depending on the Institute's requirements from time to time, the vacancies will be filled up in different time slots.
• Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.
• No interim enquiries or correspondence of any sort will be entertained. Hiding of information or submitting false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
• Only the matriculation / SSC certificate issued by the concerned education board will be considered as proof of date of birth.
• Candidates are not permitted to carry or use calculators, mobile phones, pagers or any other gadgets or instruments in the test or interview.
• In case of any dispute arising on account of interpretation of a version other than English, the English version will prevail. Legal proceedings can be instituted only in the Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad, Judicature at Allahabad/Prayagraj.
