- Qualifications as per UGC norms for Assistant Professor
- Age as per UGC regulations; teachers who have retired from colleges/universities are also considered, subject to a maximum age of 70 years as on 01.01.2026
- Candidates under a community reservation quota must submit a Community Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate from the competent authority
- Differently-abled and EWS candidates must enclose the certificate issued by the competent authority as per State Government criteria
- Natives of States other than Kerala need not apply for posts notified exclusively under a community reservation quota
- Candidates who obtained their degree/Ph.D. from universities outside Kerala must submit an equivalency/eligibility certificate from MGU
- Applications must be sent in the prescribed proforma with scanned copies of proof of age, community, qualifications (mark lists and degree certificates), UGC-approved or peer-reviewed journal proof, impact factor, experience certificate, awards, CGPA-to-percentage conversion and other additional qualifications
- Late applications or applications not in the prescribed format, or without scanned certificates, will be summarily rejected
- Selected candidates must execute an agreement with the University as per existing norms
