MeitY OGAI Consultant Engagement 2026 (Retired Government Servants)

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) invites applications from retired Government servants who have retired from the post of Section Officer, Assistant Section Officer or equivalent for engagement as Consultants for the Online Gaming Authority of India (OGAI). The OGAI has been constituted under the provisions of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. (Circular No. 2(2)/2023-P.II dated 03.07.2026)

Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Retired Government servants who have retired from the post of Section Officer, Assistant Section Officer or equivalent
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; fair knowledge of computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)
• Expertise in noting/drafting; various establishment and finance related rules/regulations of Government of India
• Capable of handling administrative matters (including General Administration), framing of Rules and Regulations, Vigilance matters, Court Cases, Parliament Questions and related matters, RTI, Procurement matters, examination of financial proposals, grant-in-aid, dealing with Subordinate/Attached offices, Autonomous/Statutory Bodies

Terms & Conditions

• Period: Purely on short-term contract basis, initially for one year from the date of engagement, extendable or curtailed as per functional requirements; not beyond 5 years after superannuation
• Age Limit: Not more than 63 years on the date of receipt of application
• Remuneration: Fixed monthly amount as per Government norms (basic pay drawn at retirement minus gross basic pension); no increment or DA during the contract term
• Selection: Shortlisting on the basis of experience and qualification; selection by a duly constituted Committee
• Leave: Paid leave of absence at 1.5 days per completed month of service; no accumulation beyond a calendar year
• TA/DA: No TA/DA for joining or on completion; TA/DA for official travel inside the country as assigned; no foreign travel at Government expense
• Accommodation/HRA: No accommodation or HRA will be provided
• Transport Allowance: Fixed amount as per rate applicable at retirement; no DA on Transport Allowance
• Attendance to be marked in the Bio-metric System; full-time engagement, no other assignment permitted
