- Age: 18 to 44 years as on 01.07.2026; relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST and BC candidates, by 3 years for ex-servicemen (in addition to the length of service in armed forces) and by 10 years for disabled persons.
- Reservation: Per Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996; local candidates rule per the Presidential Order (95% local reservation; AYUSH Medical Officer is Multi-Zonal cadre, others are District cadre).
- Engagement: On outsourcing basis up to 31.03.2027; thereafter as per need and subject to satisfactory performance.

- AYUSH Medical Officer (3): Degree in Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy or Naturopathy after regular institutional study of not less than 4½ years with one year compulsory internship.
- Pharmacist (1): D.Pharm / B.Pharm / Pharma D + registration with the Telangana Pharmacy Council.
- Psychosocial Counselor (1): Post Graduate Degree in Master of Social Work (MSW).
- Yoga Professional (1): Degree in Naturopathy (4½ years + internship) OR Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.
- Multi Purpose Worker (2): Must have passed Class VII examination; must be able to ride a bicycle/motorcycle.

The Office of the District Collector, Medchal Malkajgiri has invited applications, vide Ref. No. 2000/Estt/RDDH/HYD/2026 dated 07.10.2026, for 8 posts in 5 categories of the National AYUSH Mission. The posts are sanctioned exclusively for the AYUSH Department under the AYUSH Public Health Programmes in Medchal Malkajgiri District and are to be engaged on outsourcing basis up to 31.03.2027 under the administrative control of the Director, Department of AYUSH, Secunderabad, through the District Selection Committee. Government vide G.O.Rt.No.1508, Fin (HRM.VII) Dept., Dt: 21.08.2026 granted permission for 333 services (38 on contract and 295 on outsourcing basis), of which 8 posts in 5 categories are sanctioned for Medchal Malkajgiri District.

Selection Process
- Recruitment by the District Selection Committee of the District Health Society (Chairman: District Collector); total marks are 100.
- 90 marks based on the qualifying examination for AYUSH Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Psychosocial Counselor and Yoga Professional; for Multi Purpose Worker, 90 marks are allotted for a written test.
- 10 marks for age (0.5 mark per completed year of age from 18 years, reckoned as on 01.07.2026, maximum 10 marks).
- Merit list prepared on the above criteria and displayed on the website; selection list finalized following the rule of reservation and the Presidential Order.
- For Psychosocial Counselor, a panel of eligible candidates may be empanelled and engaged on a call basis.
Local Reservation & Unit of Appointment
Rule of reservation of local candidates applies as per the Presidential Order. AYUSH Medical Officer is Multi-Zonal cadre with 95% local reservation; candidates may apply in any district of the concerned Multi-Zone but selection is restricted to one district.
