MECON Limited, a Miniratna Schedule "A" PSU under Ministry of Steel, Government of India, invites online applications for 17 posts of Draftsman on contractual basis.

Educational Qualification & Experience

Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Engineering (Regular/Full-time) with 3 years drafting experience in relevant field; OR ITI with 5 years drafting experience; OR 12th/Inter pass with 7 years drafting experience. Must have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks.

Area of Experience by Post

• Code 01 (Civil & Structural): Preparation of Steel Structural / Civil (RCC) drawings in AutoCAD / Tekla / Revit
• Code 02 (Material Handling): Preparation of GA or Basic Engineering drawings of conveyors, junction houses, GA or fabrication drawings of Frames, stringer, short post etc. of conveyors in AutoCAD
• Code 03 (Iron Making): Preparation of drawings in ACAD (Mech)
• Code 04 (GMMB): Work experience in engineering AutoCAD drawings, with specific exposure to General Arrangement (GA) and piping drawings
• Code 05 (Oil & Gas): Working experience in preparation of Piping & equipment Drawing in Auto CAD
• Code 06 (Civil & Structural - Delhi): Working experience in Auto CAD including Preparation of Civil & Steel Structural drawings

Age Limit

• Minimum: 18 years as on 27.05.2026 (date of advertisement)
• Maximum: Not specified in advertisement

Remuneration

• Monthly Contract Fee: ₹30,000 per month (fixed)
• Incentive: ₹875 per drawing over and above 20 A1 equivalent drawings per month
• Annual Increment: 3% of contract fee
• Leave: 1.5 days per month (max 18 days/year)
• Medical Facilities: Self, spouse and 2 dependent children at Ispat Hospital
• Accommodation/HRA: Company accommodation on rental basis (subject to availability) or HRA @ 5% of contract fee

Contract Duration

Initial engagement for 3 years (renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance), extendable up to 5 years.

Selection Process

Personal Interview & Hands-on test. Shortlisting based on scrutiny of applications. Merit list prepared separately for each discipline & category.
