MAHE Manipal JRF Eligibility Criteria 2026
- M.Sc/M.Tech/B.Tech in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Nanotechnology or any relevant branch of technology or life sciences.
- Basic knowledge of microbiological techniques, genetics, thin films and nanomaterials is mandatory.
- Candidates with UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/DBT-BET qualification will be preferred.
- Experience in genetic modulation of bacteria or in the synthesis and development of thin films and nanomaterials is desirable.
- Scientific writing experience with peer-reviewed publications and strong communication skills are an advantage.

About the project
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project at the School of Electrical Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal.
Project title: “Optimization of Zymomonas mobilis-Driven Electrochemical System for Hydrogen generation from Agriculture Waste”.
Pay and tenure
Remuneration is Rs. 40,330 per month (Rs. 37,000 + 9% HRA). The tenure is initially one year and may be extended for two more years based on performance and project requirements.
